Indian Pipe/Ghost Plant/Spirit Plant (Monotropa uniflora) is sought out for being a powerful tonic, sedative, nervine, and antispasmodic (and opium substitute) herbal support.

It can help a person to better handle intense physical or emotional pain and neurological disruptions that are overwhelming, including seizures, insomnia, anxiety/panic attacks, extreme mental states, etc. It does not numb the pain, rather it is known to help calm the mind and allow the person to step aside, be aware of the pain, without feeling the depth of the pain and can become less attached to it.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!

.:.Indian Pipe/Ghost Plant/Spirit Plant (Monotropa uniflora) is SUCH a rare and mysterious gem of life on Earth!

Its wild ways blows my mind...

.:.Perhaps it’s the way that it doesn’t photosynthesize/ produce chlorophyll like most plants, yet instead receives nutrients from nearby mychorizzal fungi, which leaves it with a near-total lack of pigmentation.

... and then upon tincturing, immediately turns the liquid purple

.:.Or perhaps it’s because it resembles frozen jelly with its tender succulent ways and seems to melt like ice in the hands when handled.

.:. Perhaps it’s how it is unpredictable and rare with where it sprouts up...One stalk, one flower at a time.

.:.Perhaps it’s because of the way it supports the humans in SUCH a powerful way.

.:.It’s clear that it asks for profound reverence. And that we need to deeply honor its spiritual and medicinal properties. Best to reserve it’s use for pain that does not respond to anything else.

.:.I want to BE VERY CLEAR about this plant:

Ghost Pipe is a very RARE plant. If you come across it, know that it is a very special moment of them saying Hi and reminding you of the magic of Life. Finding them Does NOT mean that you can automatically harvest them (this goes for any plant)!

.:.It is important to cultivate a relationship with nature, listening to the plants and their messages and giving to them- not just taking with entitlement.

.:. When I harvested this, I was guided which ones to harvest - ONE AT A TIME-

While being EXTRA mindful to not over-harvest, for many reasons, including the fact that it used to be thought to be a parasitic plant, and it is now understood to share a beneficial symbiotic relationship with the mycorrhizal fungi in the soil, the trees and shrubs it lives near and on, while assisting in producing necessary sugars for the tree.

Ingredients:

Ethically WildHarvested Ghost Pipe aerial parts, Organic GF Cascadia Pacific NorthWest Potato Vodka, and Gratitude.
